Springtime weather now!
Bye bye winter (hopefully for a while!)
We are wrapped up with collecting dues for this year – thanks for your diligence in paying on time, being patient with the mail delays, working through the transition to using our email system, and helping us try to save a stamp.
Street Reconstruction Project
So as you’ve probably noticed, there is quite a lot of construction activity in the neighborhood. The utility work that was promised over the winter time has started, which really kicks off the bigger project. Jason Hussey with OP Public Works will be sending a letter to the neighborhood (those that live on streets affected) this week or next. Inside the letter will explain some of the housekeeping items that address questions regarding trash collection, parking, transportation assistance, contractor contact information and more. Most importantly inside the letter will be a phasing timeline which shows the schedule of work. April 1st is the target date for work to begin.
In last month’s newsletter I mentioned that the project was going to be presented at Public Works Committee meeting in February – and then to the City Council March 1st. The project was officially approved and Miles Excavating will be the contractor.
Jason’s letter will again share his contact information, but if you have additional questions, email him at: jason.hussey@opkansas.org
