Welcome Summer – July off to a hot start!
Happy Independence Day! As a reminder, all fireworks are prohibited in all of Johnson County – but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate! Overland Park has planned events all over the city. Milburn Country Club has a fantastic display each year that starts near dusk. Find your spot early, 71st Street fills up quickly with cars and people to watch the amazing show. Don’t forget your lawn chair!
Overland Park is also home of the Start Spangled Spectacular at Corporate Woods. Easily the largest party in the city, there will be live music, food trucks, and a very large fireworks display. Find info on parking, what to bring, and the entire event schedule here.

HOA By-Laws Highlight:
Please be mindful when street parking in the neighborhood. Our narrow streets sometimes have cars parked on each side, causing drivers to be extra cautious when driving through. Also make sure to not park on pedestrian sidewalks or in your yard for extended periods of time. Did you know that our By-Laws mentions a rule for parking trailers or inoperable cars on your plot? Read More on page 20.
Any Trash Questions?
Please go to the section of our website for any questions regarding trash, recycling, and yard waste – all of the most important information is listed on the Milburn Fields website.
