Happy Independence Day!
July heat is here and hopefully that means work on the street project continues without any further delays. Miles appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding that unfortunately when weather impacts their work, it impacts us all. There is still no official adjustment to the timeline for work phases, if you have questions you may call Sean directly, or refer to our Street Project tab on our website for any FAQs and information.
Looking towards cleaning out that basement? Keep a lookout for a Facebook Poll in our neighborhood group in the next few days! We’ll ask your feedback for which weekend to schedule the annual group sale! Not in our Facebook group? CLICK HERE 🙂
In case you missed our Annual Meeting in April this year, we do have the “unofficial meeting minutes” added to our website for your viewing. Click here to read the minutes and all that was discussed!
Street Project Quick Notes:
We appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding. We are all going to be significantly inconvenienced for few months, unfortunately. Sadly, this is the nature of extensive construction projects. Once it is all complete, our neighborhood and streets will look brand new!
- As a reminder throughout the project, Parking is challenging. As discussed at the meeting, once concrete starts to pour, we will have zero access to drive on the streets for 10-14 days. This means you should plan to park elsewhere. Please be courteous when parking.
- Contact information for the ‘shuttle service’ that Miles provides has been added to the Street Project tab on the website. The phone number is (816) 769-7266. That service should only be utilized for the streets when paving is occurring.
- Trash collection process will continue as normal. Please take your bins to the end of your driveway, and if WCA needs assistance reaching your bin, Miles will physically move trash bins to a location that WCA can collect.
- Door tags from Miles are only left when there is significant work planned. While day-to-day work may hinder driving down the street / accessing your drive, a door tag will not be placed if you can still drive. If you need to leave or are returning home, please be patient – they will do their best to let you pass. Another example: a door tag was recently left for residents on Robinson to alert no street parking on certain days.
- Final street tree removals for remaining streets underway.
- Yard damage from the Gas or Utility work will be replaced with sod. It is recommended that you water until established.
- Sign up to be notified of any Utility Shutoff – sign up at www.notifyjoco.org or call (913) 826-5555.
