Neighborhood Garage Sale!
The date has been set for our neighborhood garage sale: September 21-22! The HOA will help in promoting the weekend event with signage at busy neighborhood entrances and using garage sale resources to announce the sale.
Based on some of the initial feedback, we hope to see around 30 homes join in on the fun! Here are some helpful tips:
- Gather your stuff & sort by like items or price
- Price your items with stickers before your sale starts
- Don’t forget change! Be sure to have small bills and change
- Work the crowd – put on your selling hat and watch your stuff fly!
East Antioch Elementary Enrollment 2018-2019 School Year
Enrollment for kindergarten is underway – and enrollment is lower than anticipated this year. Please call Kendra Gibson at the school to get answers to any enrollment questions: 913-993-3200. It’s not too late to enroll if you have a child that will be five years old before August 31st!

Help-A-Neighbor Inc.
Overland Park has a non-profit organization available for residents that may need some extra help maintaining the outside of their homes. This all volunteer group has about 60 members that lend a helping hand. Learn more about donating and requesting help here.

Neighborhood Night Out date announcement: October 6
National Night Out (August 7th) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods better places to live. The HOA has decided to schedule our event a little later this year – We’ll have more information as we get closer to October, but expect to have some food, drinks, family and neighborly fun in the neighborhood. Let us know if you’d like to help plan and coordinate with some neighbor volunteers!
Yard of the Month: August
Congratulations to 7219 Lowell Ave. on winning the prize this month. The Milburn Fields Volunteer Yard of the Month Judges regularly canvas the neighborhood looking for stunning yards. During the summer, a winner is chosen each month and awarded a $25 gift certificate (with bragging rights) for an exceptional job maintaining their home’s exterior and landscape.
