Save Money with an Annual Membership to OP Pools
Annual memberships allow guests unlimited access to any of the city’s outdoor swimming pools.
Registration for the current season must be done at the either the Matt Ross or Tomahawk Ridge Community Centers.

Downtown OP Local Life Third Fridays
Every 3rd Friday Downtown Overland Park celebrates LOCAL LIFE, a fun and lively way to explore your Downtown favorites and discover new ones. Area businesses keep their doors open late to bring you everything from food and drink samples and live music to giveaways and gallery openings and much more.

Free Seedling Giveaway Saturday 4/7 from 9am to noon
The Legacy of Greenery Committee and Arboretum volunteers will be handing out free tree and shrub seedlings to visitors while supplies last.
All species of trees and shrubs will be bare root and come with instructions on planting and maintenance.
There is a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees and a few shrubs for those of you without space for a new tree.
Shrubs and seedlings will be handed out at the following locations:
• Matt Ross Community Center
• Tomahawk Ridge Community Center
• Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

Yard waste pickup is now in effect for 2018.
Yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings, branches, and general yard debris. Please don’t combine with wood fencing, landscape timbers, flower pots, yard decorations, mulch, or dirt.
Yard waste can only be collected in tied bags or bundles. Grass clippings and leafy debris should be placed at the curb in biodegradable trash bags, homeowner-provided containers.
Branches and limbs should be no longer than four (4) feet in length, and six (6) inches in diameter. All branches and limbs should be tied in bundles weighing less than 50 pounds, and bundles should be stacked uniformly at the curb.

OP Recycling Extravaganza – Saturday April 21st 8am-2pm
Make plans to recycle just about anything! This list of items that you can recycle is quite extensive; documents, building material, bicycles, flourescent bulbs, fabric, garden tools, gently used shoes, durable medical equipment, pet supplies, musical instruments, books, used eyeglasses, mattresses, electronics, and much, much more.

The Milburn Fields Volunteer Yard of Month Judges will begin cruising the neighborhood soon. One winner is chosen each month through the fall and will win a $25 gift certificate. Good luck to all you green thumbs out there!
