We&nbsp;are excited to share some unofficial details for the annual membership meeting. If you missed the meeting, you can find the slideshow on our website, <a href=\"https:\/\/milburnfieldsop.com\/home\/annual-meetings-2\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We heard from a great line up of guest speakers!\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overland Park Mayor, Curt Skoog: discussed city news and projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parks and Rec: discussed the process for designing the new Marty Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Logan Heley, Ward 1 City Councilman: Public Safety updates&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holly Grummert, Ward 1 City Councilwoman: City news and budgets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We also discussed the many items that our HOA has planned for this year. We plan to organize:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Annual Block Party &#8211; May 4th @ Antioch Acres Park Shelter&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garage Sale Weekend planned for later this year, early fall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bulky Item Pickup Weekend\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>RSVP required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GFL will pickup 1 item only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The HOA has renewed its contract with&nbsp;GFL as the neighborhood trash servicer. The contract lasts 60 months. Here are some important information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bulky Item pickup is limited to 1 item a year. Additional items for an extra charge. Call to schedule directly with GFL: <strong>\u00a0816-380-5595<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yard Waste bags should be lightweight. It is now GFL policy to exclude bins specifically for yard waste. If it is too heavy to pickup, their drivers may refuse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bundle your limbs (max length of 4-feet)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No changes to pickup day &#8211; still Friday 7am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Discrimination Complaints:<\/strong> The Board was notified by the Kansas Human Rights Commission that the investigation of the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/milburnfieldsop.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/KS-HRC-Complaint-Letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">discrimination \/ harassment&nbsp;complaint<\/a>&nbsp;was completed&nbsp;and no probable cause was found to support the claims.&nbsp;<br>The Board will update you on the resolution of the pending&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/milburnfieldsop.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/HUD-complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">HUD complaint<\/a>&nbsp;as soon as we can.<br><strong>Board Meetings: <\/strong>A quick reminder that&nbsp;monthly Board meetings are open to all! We try to meet on the first Thursday of each month &#8211; more information can be <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/milburnfieldsop.com\/home\/annual-meetings-2\" target=\"_blank\">found on our website here.<\/a>&nbsp;The next meeting is planned for the first part of May &#8211; TBD.
