Do you love spooky season like we do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0HOA would like to invite everyone to a Block Party, Halloween style! This year we have arranged to hold a gathering at Antioch Acres Park – the perfectly located small shelter just a few blocks west of our neighborhood.\u00a0
The HOA will provide charcoal for an open BBQ. We are asking that everyone bring one food item that can be shared amongst our neighbors. Please feel free to bring whatever you’d like to cook on the grill:\u00a0hot dogs, cheese burgers, etc!\u00a0
The HOA will award a winner for the best costume and will have\u00a0the S’mores hot and\u00a0ready for all the hungry monsters!

As we’ve done in years past, we will award a winner for the best Halloween Decor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current complaint:<\/strong> As announced at the special meeting and in the September newsletter, a new lawsuit was filed against the Board. It is a continuation of the previous complaint, however due to the nature of the situation a new suit was filed. Read the filing here.<\/a> 
Discrimination Complaints:<\/strong> The Board is working with legal counsel to resolve the two additional complaints that were submitted. For the purpose of transparency, you can read the Kansas Human Rights Commission claim <\/a>and also HUD claim documents<\/a> on our website. Both are claiming racial discrimination. The HOA has provided each department the requested documentation for the respective investigations. We will notify residents as soon as we have a resolution.
Board Meetings: <\/strong>A quick reminder that monthly Board meetings are open to all! We try to meet on the first Thursday of each month – more information can be found on our website here.<\/a> The next meeting is scheduled for November 2nd at the Panera at 75th and Antioch at 6:30 pm.
